My name is Jeff Chapman. I am a mathematician and computer scientist.

Work

I should update my resume and post it here, that would be the best explanation of what work I've done, at least until I see the need to leave parts off. A quick summary:

  Fullstack c#/.net on group booking website handling reservations, inventory, etc.

  Compiler development; initially focused on implementing new c++ features in gcc/g++.

Studies

I used study at the University of Akron. I typically participated in the Choose Ohio First in Bioinformatics scholarship, which means I performed research projects related to bioinformatics. Sometimes, I had a poster in the Great Lakes Bioinformatics Conference (GLBIO). Information about that is available here. A brief summary of my past research areas for GLBIO,

• Genetic sequence (protein/DNA) comparison and compression techniques
• RNA energy calculation and visualization
• Differentially expressed genes (retinal pigment epithelium in zebrafish)

This site

This site is still under development. The last site started off as bash, moved to php and then onto D as a backend. This site is currently just static files. If /work/ is working then this section is probably out of date :p
